Honoring the Legacy of Shervin Bain

As some of you may know, OTV lost our dear friend, artist and community member Shervin Bain on October 11, 2021. We are devastated by this monumental loss and we appreciate everyone who has already sent condolences, love and support.

Shervin was an extremely talented writer, actor, filmmaker, artist and a beloved member of the OTV Community. Though his life was cut short, his legacy will live on in memories of his endearing smile, the kindness and sense of humor he readily shared with all, as well as the fellow artists he inspired and his work to champion Black Queer storytelling. At this time we have been in close communication with his best friend and longtime collaborator, Victoria Lee, and have collectively decided to postpone the highly anticipated release of Low Strung (season 2).

Please continue to keep Shervin's family, friends and community close to your hearts as we grieve this sudden and tragic loss. Additionally, to honor his legacy, we empower all that knew him to go forth and continue to create a world that is filled with joy, kindness, and passion. It is our commitment at OTV to do this as well, and we appreciate your continuous grace, amplification and participation.

Never not manifesting legacy,
