ACTIVATION OFFICER

We are looking for an experienced Activation Officer (that's you) to help us build our audience and raise brand awareness across local, national and international communities. You’ll work across all levels and departments of our organization to find what makes OTV - Open Television unique and communicate it to the world.

The Activation Officer will serve as the point-person for developing, implementing and executing marketing initiatives and activities for OTV. These initiatives and activities include campaigns (print, web, social media, broadcast, etc.), events, corporate responsibility programs, memberships/ambassador program, partnerships, and sponsorships. In addition to this, the ideal candidate will work alongside the Executive Director to develop innovative strategies and tactics that support the goals and efforts of OTV's Head of Community and Head of Exhibition. 

They will strategize effective campaigns, set brand standards, and improve the ways our community engages with OTV both online and offline. Acting as the thought-leader of the organization, the Activation Officer will implement guides as well as initiatives that incorporate advertising, promotions, internal work, campaign marketing, social media, and other areas of representation. They will be responsible for more than executing marketing campaigns; they are also in charge of developing and coordinating innovative strategies for reaching new audiences and strengthening brand loyalty through both online and offline exhibitions.


Core Responsibilities // Essential Functions: 

  • Manages calendar of marketing activations: campaigns, initiatives, releases, events, programs, major announcements, partnerships, sponsorships, etc. 

  • Developing and implementing strategies for marketing that better communicate our vision and mission. 

  • Improving brand recognition and reputation translate activations both online and offline into plans and go-to-market strategies. 

  • Align the organization around the brand’s direction, choices, and tactics. 

  • Analyzing market trends and competitors’ methods. 

  • Setting brand standards, mission, and goals. 

  • Improving the brand’s reach through strategic community engagement tactics.  

  • Researching consumer markets and opportunities. 

  • Creating go-to marketing strategies for OTV to build brand loyalty. 

  • Responsible for creating, implementing and supervising campaigns to ensure brand consistency. 

  • Estimating and establishing cost parameters, budgets, campaigns, and potential ROI. 

  • Work with Executive Director to lead the creative development of brand and marketing.

  • Researching and tracking performance and reactions. 

  • Planning and execution of all communications and media actions on all channels, including website, social media, etc. 

  • Reviewing success of campaign and developing ways to improve and broaden brand recognition. 

  • Prepares monthly marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing top-line data. 

  • Managing sponsorship and partnership expectations/fulfillment.  

  • Attending networking and community events alongside Head of Community to build brand name recognition. 

  • Consistently brainstorming and collaborating with team for new ideas and strategies that are becoming industry trends. 

Commitment:

15-25 hours/week (flexible). Combintionaton of onsite and remote work. 6-month minimum commitment with the possibility to extend based on performance and desire. This is a paid contract position. Rate dependent on skill and experience.
